Our Story

Our journey starts in 2022, when ReCoat was founded at McMaster University by Isaac Begun. We noticed that every year, graduating students who had used their lab coats only a few times were sending them to the back of their closet or even worse, the landfill. As their undergraduate career was coming to a close, they no longer had a need for a lab coat. However, at the same time, there was a new group of students entering the university who would have to buy these same lab coats, only to use them a couple of times and then send them to waste. As a result, ReCoat was created to ensure we can keep these lab coats and other items in circulation!
